Obituary for Evangelina Morris

NEW BEDFORD-Evangelina (Medeiros) Morris, 85, of South Dartmouth, died Sunday, November 4, 2018 at st. Luke's Hospital. She was the beloved wife of John Morris who passed away on November 7, 2018 and the daughter of the late Manuel and Evangelina (Medeiros) Medeiros. Mr. and Mrs. Morris celebrated 63 wonderful years of marriage and shared an inseparable bond.
Mrs. Morris was born in New Bedford and resided in Dartmouth since 1969. She was a parishioner of St. Mary Church in South Dartmouth.
She was employed as a payroll clerk at Brandon Woods of New Bedford until her retirement.
Mrs. Morris was an avid Red Sox and New England Patriots fan and was also an active member of the New Bedford Y.W.C.A.
Her family includes her 3 daughters, Nancy J. Owen and her companion, Geno Santiago of Wareham, Janet M. Morris of South Dartmouth and Ann M. Bizarro and her companion, Wendy Weston of New Bedford; 1 sister, Thelma Deree of Dartmouth; 2 grandchildren, George Owen and his wife, Hilary and Patrick Owen; 2 great-grandchildren, Hadley Owen and Liam Owen and 3 nieces, Susan Buffington, Joann Auger and Diane Gendron.
She was the sister of the late Norma Beaulieu and Evelyn Texeira.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Mr. and Mrs. Morris in St. Mary Church in So. Dartmouth on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. Visitation in the funeral home prior to the Mass from 8:00 A.M. To 10:00 A.M. Interment in South Dartmouth Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association, Founders Affiliate, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to AUBERTINE-LOPES FUNERAL HOME, 129 Allen St., New Bedford.
