Obituary for Helen E. Jenkins

DARTMOUTH-Helen E. (Valentage) Jenkins, 84, of Dartmouth, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family and friends after a period of declining health. She was the widow of William J. Jenkins, Jr. and daughter of the late August and Susan (Sebell) Valentage.
Born in Greensburg, PA, she resided in Dartmouth since 1975.
Mrs. Jenkins was employed as a Quality Visual Inspector at Olin Aegis until her retirement and was previously employed at Isotronics and Kilborn Glass.
Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed trips to the casino to play slot machines and was a devoted football fan, especially of the New England Patriots. In her younger years, she enjoyed riding with her husband on their Harley Davidson motorcycle throughout the U.S.
Her family includes her daughter, Susan F. Jenkins of Dartmouth; 2 sons, William J. Jenkins, III and his companion, Nina Trapani of Falmouth and David A. Jenkins and his wife, Deborah of Wareham; a daughter-in-law, Deborah Jenkins of Cotuit; a dear family friend, Christine Gonet of Fairhaven; 1 brother, Francis Valentage of PA; her grandchildren, Michael W. Ricardo, Jr., Nicholas W. Ricardo and his wife, Heather and the late David W. and Lauren Ashley Jenkins; several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Edward and Joseph Valentage, Mary Jane Kotulak and Anna and Bernard Valentage.
Special thanks to Dr. Joseph Spirito and the staff of Community Nurse and Home Care for their excellent care during her final journey, her nurse, Patty who gave us so much comfort and guidance, Donna and Cheryl for their love and care and Maria J. Raposo for being with her when we couldn't be. Thanks also to Dr. Gregory Russell, Vicki Saint-Paine and the staff of Southcoast Cardiology for their many years of excellent care.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Nurse Home Care, 62 Center St., Fairhaven, MA 02719.
Private funeral arrangements entrusted to AUBERTINE-LOPES FUNERAL HOME, 129 Allen St., New Bedford.
