Obituary for Margaret Carvalho

NEW BEDFORD-Margaret Carvalho, age 105, passed away peacefully in the presence of her loved ones on Tuesday, November 20th, 2018. Born March 17th, 1913, she lived a century full of love, laughter, friends and family. You could always find her praying, taking care of her family, or cooking. She spread love and wisdom, and left everyone she met with a smile.

She was a loving wife to her late husband, Joseph Carvalho, and a caring mother to her son Joseph Carvalho Jr. and wife Leonora, her daughter Theresa Almeida and husband Robert, and her late daughter Patricia. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Pamela Carvalho, Joseph Carvalho III and wife Kim, Jodie Maitoza and husband Ray, Lisa Furtado and husband Paul, Koby Verran and wife Christine, her great grandchildren; Alyssa, Hannah, Andrew, Jenna, and Matthew, her sister-in- law Maria Medeiros, and many nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria Medeiros, and sister of the late Mary Cordeiro, Cecilia Medeiros, and Manuel Medeiros. She will be deeply missed.

Visiting hours in the funeral home Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 2:00-6:00 P.M. Her funeral will be Monday, November 26, 2018, 9:30 A.M. at the funeral home with a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated in Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Interment in St. John Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to AUBERTINE-LOPES FUNERAL HOME, 129 Allen St., New Bedford.
