Obituary for Paul W. Boyle

NEW BEDFORD-Paul W. Boyle, 72, of New Bedford, died Sunday, January 27, 2019 at The Oaks following a period of declining health. He was the widower of Irmgard M. (Pfeiffer) Boyle and son of the late Edward A. and Alice M. (Riley) Boyle.
Born in Waltham, he resided in So. Dartmouth and Taunton for many years.
Mr. Boyle earned his bachelor's degree in Chemistry. He was employed as a Police Officer for the Massachusetts State Police, Veterans Administration and the Town of Dartmouth.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a member of Disabled American Veterans, Dr. C. E. Burt Chapter 7 and Poirier Post #3260.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He took great pride in raising his grandson, Jace John Boyle.
His family includes his son, Paul W. Boyle, II and his wife, Heather of Fairhaven; 3 daughters, Hiedi M. Boyle and her companion, Rick Joia of New Bedford, Brenda A. Costa and her husband, Brian of New Bedford and Christine M. Boyle and her companion, Jeff Brunette of E. Freetown; 1 sister, Carol Riley of Boston; 10 grandchildren, Kristina Costa of Maryland, Ashley Costa of New Bedford, Michael Santos of New Bedford, Benjamin Brunette, Andrew Brunette and Cole Brunette and Tyler Brunette, all E. Freetown and Brandon Pimental-Boyle, Jace John Boyle and Paul W. "Peanut" Boyle, III, all of Fairhaven; 4 great-grandchildren, Lyric Benoit, Donovan Benoit, Jordyne Santos and Michael Santos, III and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
Private funeral arrangements entrusted to AUBERTINE-LOPES FUNERAL HOME, 129 Allen St., New Bedford.
