Obituary for Thelma Freeman

NEW BEDFORD- Thelma (Perry) Freeman, 94 of New Bedford, was reunited with her late husband, Saturday, February 2, 2019 at home following a period of declining health. She was born in Warren, R. I. and resided in South Dartmouth for 18 years and in New Bedford for many years. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Perry and Lena (Silva) Perry and the widow of Edwin "Pee Wee" Freeman. Mrs. Freeman was employed as a waitress at the Landmark Restaurant in South Dartmouth, also the Green Diner, Arlans Snack Bar, Mars Snack Bar and the Atlantic Mills of Fairhaven. In her leisure time she enjoyed needlepoint, rug hooking and word search puzzles. She was very proud of her magnificent doll collection.
Survivors include her son: Arthur W. Almond of New Bedford; daughter: Sharon of Florida; grandchildren and great grandchildren; 1 niece and nephews; many friends. She was the sister of the late Edwin Perry.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. Visitation prior to the service from 9:30 A.M.-11:00 A.M. She will be eternally reunited with her late husband Edwin "Pee Wee" Freeman in Pine Grove Cemetery following her service.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to AUBERTINE-LOPES FUNERAL HOME, 129 Allen Street.
